Trans Agulhas Challenge 2025 — Nomad Crew Was There

In December 2025, Nomad Crew Basecamp hit the road as the official mobile accommodation unit for a 10-person crew competing in the Trans Agulhas Challenge — widely known as the World's Toughest Inflatable Boat Challenge. The race covers over 700km of South Africa's rugged coastline over 4 gruelling days, starting in Plettenberg Bay and finishing in Cape Town. Our basecamp drove the full route alongside the team — from Cape Town to Mossel Bay and all the way back to the Cape. Every single night, all 10 crew members had a comfortable, warm place to sleep. After long days battling the waves, they came home to hot showers, dry beds, and everything they needed to recover and go again the next day. No hotels, no logistics headaches — just the crew, the road, and a fully self-contained basecamp that kept up with every stage of the event. This is exactly what Nomad Crew Basecamp was built for.
